Whether your system is large or small, installed by us or another company. We offer servicing on an annual, six monthly or quarterly basis as required by the relevant standards. Depending on your system type, regular maintenance schedules may well be a stipulation set out by your insurance company or by the Police. This will certainly be the case for all remote monitored installations.
During the maintenance visit, the intruder alarm is tested to ensure that it is functioning correctly. Without effective maintenance even the best equipment will deteriorate. Any developing fault found would be rectified accordingly. An important feature of the inspection is the checking of all the physical fixings, loosening, corrosion, cabling and the operation of all the devices these are normally the main reasons for false alarms and faults. The stand-by batteries including external sounders and fuses within the system, which are replaced as necessary as these need regular attention to function correctly.
Protek are an approved maintenance company and is regularly inspected by the SSAIB (Security Systems and Alarms Inspection Board) this ensures you the customer that we are completing work to the correct standards.
A further advantage is that our emergency service department is available 24 hours a day with attendance within 4 hours or earlier if required. All our engineers are fully equipped with the relevant spares and tools to ensure no return visits are required therefore minimising down time of the system.
